By using
water wisely and installing water efficient household appliances, you can save
water and energy every day to help preserve the
Carmel
River and protect the threatened species
that rely on it.
Together, California American Water and the Monterey
Peninsula Water Management District (MPWMD) have created the Water Saving
Appliance Rebate Program for peninsula residents.
With the purchase of water and
energy efficient devices, you can receive a rebate of up to $100 for each device
purchased.
Appliances eligible for rebates
include:
- Ultra-low flush
toilets
- Dual flush toilets
- Ultra-low water consumption dishwashers
- Ultra-low water consumption washing machines
- Hot water demand pumping systems
with an EnergyStar rating
- Rainwater cistern systems
